Foster parent forms
If you need a form that isn’t here yet, contact your Ariel case manager or reach out to your regional HQ.
Training for foster parents
Colorado requires pre-service training before you’re licensed. You’ll complete the state-mandated National Training and Development Curriculum (NTDC) at your own pace, plus a short Ariel orientation covering Ariel’s approach, your case manager’s role, and what to expect once you’re licensed. Training is often offered at no cost, though costs can vary by location. Once you’re licensed, annual training keeps your license current, and Ariel helps you stay on track.
Along the way, training covers topics like:
- Trauma-informed care
- Cultural responsiveness
- CPR and first aid
- Safe home and supervision practices
If you’ve completed any of these trainings through another agency or on your own, let your case manager know. Some certifications may transfer.
